The Gospel of being Restored

Prov 2:10-11  When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasing to your soul;  (11)  judgment shall keep you, understanding shall keep you,

We have previously looked at; "when wisdom enters into your heart", the next phrase we will look at is "when knowledge is pleasing to your soul". What knowledge will be pleasing to your soul, the knowledge of what? Is it knowledge in general because you love to learn, or is it something specific, something that is very important to know that will be pleasing to you when it is revealed to you.

Pleasing is the word "naem" that  means; to be agreeable, pass in beauty, be pleasant, be sweet.

This word is first used in Scripture in Gen 49:14-15 where we read about Jacob/Israel blessing each one of his 12 sons just before his death. In this particular verse he blesses Issachar, describing him as a strong ass crouching down between two burdens (sheepfolds) and he saw that the "rest" (abode/peace) was good and that the land was pleasant (naem) and he bowed his shoulder as a servant to bear two burdens.

Issachar means; to bring a reward.

Issachar represents 'a servant' carrying 'two burdens' that will result in 'a reward' that will bring 'fortune'.

What are these two burdens he has to carry?

Two burdens is the word "mishpath" that means; a stall of cattle, sheepfold, burden.

So the two burdens he had to carry are two flocks of sheep; he became the servant who is willing to serve and carry these two burdens (something that is not easy to do, leading two different flocks), but he knows there will be a reward at the end of the day.

What do these two flocks represent and who is the servant? This is a prophetic picture of Messiah that will become the Servant and Shepherd, Who will lead His two diverse flocks so that they will eventually become one flock under His rule.

Isa 40:10-11  Behold, the Master YHVH will come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.  (11)  He shall feed His flock like a SHEPHERD; He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those with young.

Eze 34:5-12 And they were scattered for lack of a shepherd. And they became food to all the beasts of the field when they were scattered.  (6)  My sheep wandered through all the mountains and on every high hill. Yea, My flock was scattered on all the face of the earth, and none searched nor sought for them.  (7)  Therefore, shepherds, hear the Word of YHVH:  (8)  As I live, says the Master YHVH, surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became food to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock,  (9)  therefore, O shepherds, hear the Word of YHVH.  (10)  So says the Master YHVH: Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock. Nor shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouth, and they will not be food to devour.  (11)  For so says the Master YHVH: Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.  (12)  As a SHEPHERD seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so I WILL SEEK OUT MY SHEEP and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

Hos 1:10-11  Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered. And it shall be, in the place where it was said to them, You are not My people, there it shall be said to them, You are the sons of the living God.  (11)  Then the sons of Judah (Jews)  and the sons of Israel (Ten Tribes & Gentiles)  shall be gathered together, and shall set over themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land. For great shall be the day of Jezreel.

Isa 11:12  And He shall lift up a banner for the nations, and shall gather the outcasts of Israel and gather together the scattered ones of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

This ties in with the Two Houses of Israel, Judah (the Jews who guards the Torah) and who returned to the Land first, and Ephraim, the scattered 10 lost tribes who will be led back to the Land by Y'shua's Spirit, to be reunited as Israel again at the end of the age. These are the Two Burdens the Shepherd is currently carrying, leading them back so that they might receive His reward and enter into His Rest. Gen_49:14-15,

With all of this context, what knowledge is pleasing to the soul? The knowledge of the "Good News" that Messiah Y'shua is the Shepherd and He will restore Israel (12 Tribes) by reuniting the 10 Lost Tribes (Christians/Ephraim), who will be reunited with their "brother Judah" (known as Jews today, consisting of Judah & Levi). It is also the "Good News" of restoration of the Kingdom of YHVH that consists of the Land (Israel), the people (12 tribes of Israel) and the King, Y'shua the Messiah. John the Baptist as well as Y'shua announced the Kingdom of YHVH which is the "Good News" or "Gospel" message proclaimed, that will be fulfilled at the Second Coming of Y'shua.

Mat 3:1-2  In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,  (2)  and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Mar 1:14-15  And after John was delivered up, Y'shua came into Galilee, proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom of YHVH, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of YHVH draws near. Repent, and believe the Gospel.

When you call upon the Name of YHVH through Y'shua, He will "Save you" by leading you back into His Kingdom;  to submit under the King (Himself), to be governed by His Word, and to eventually return back to the Land of Israel. People think we are all going to heaven, but "heaven" is actually coming to earth, the new or restored earth after the Judgement of YHVH is fulfilled.

Rev 21:1-3,10-11  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. And the sea no longer is.  (2)  And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from YHVH out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her Husband.  (3)  And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of YHVH is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and YHVH Himself will be with them and be their Elohim.  (10)  And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from YHVH,  (11)  having the glory of YHVH. And its light was like a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.

This knowledge is not just any knowledge, it is the knowledge of the Messiah, the Shepherd King Who will call back and restore His people, back into His Kingdom, where He will rule and those in His Kingdom will experience His Righteousness, Peace and Salvation. This is the Gospel Message, the “Good news” that will be pleasing to your soul. Prov 2:10
