Deliverance form the "Man of Evil" and His Three Deadly Sins.

Prov 2:12-15  to deliver you from the way of the evil man, from the man who speaks wicked things; (13)  those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,  (14)  who rejoice to do evil and delight in the perversities of the wicked;  (15)  whose ways are crooked, and are devious in their paths.

We continue in Prov 2:12-15 uncovering the tactics and identity of the "Evil Man". Who is this "Evil Man"? YHVH will deliver you from the "Evil Man" who left the path of righteousness in exchange for the ways of darkness. He is the one who rejoice in doing evil and who delight in the perverseness of the wicked. His ways are crooked and his paths are devious.

The "Evil Man's" attributes are described here so that you can have an understanding of his tactics and character. We all know who the "Evil Man" is, it is no other than Satan also known as Lucifer, once an Angel of YHVH who rebelled and was kicked out of YHVH's presence. Lucifer's name changed from "light bearer" and "morning star" to Satan, meaning; adversary, enemy, accuser. He served YHVH once but exchanged his "light" for "darkness", good for evil and truth for lies.

Isa 14:13-15  For you (Lucifer) have said in your heart, I will go up to the heavens, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohim; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north.  (14)  I will go up above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.  (15)  Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the Pit.

It is so easy to exchange the light for darkness and to fall backwards into sin. It is easier to be pulled down than to be pulled up because sin is like gravity, it is pulling on your flesh all of the time. Why is it that we are more susceptible to sin and fleshliness than to righteousness and holiness? It is because of Adam's sin that brought a curse of death upon humanity. This curse and sinful nature is actively working in you bringing death, not only physical death, but spiritual death that makes it even more "natural" for us to sin. Sin and death is a vicious cycle where the one feeds the other and it pulls us down into the grave. This "power" is actively working in every one of us, enhancing our sinful nature even more, that makes it "natural" and "easy" to sin. Paul warns us not to allow sin to reign in our bodies through allowing the lusts of the flesh to take over our lives:

Rom 6:12-13  Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.  (13)  Do not yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but yield yourselves to YHVH, as one alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to YHVH.

To overcome we need to accept the solution to the problem and that is to do the opposite of what the "evil man" did; that is to exchange our paths of darkness (sin) for paths of righteousness and yield your members (body) as an instrument of righteousness. The one you feed is the one that will have strength in your life; feed the flesh by engaging in fleshly activities and you will serve the flesh in sin, feed the spirit by spending time in prayer and in the Word, then your spirit man will overcome in righteousness.

It's all about your motives and your attitude: In order to overcome you have to have the opposite attitude than what Lucifer had when he fell; you have to humble yourself and not exalt yourself to be like the Most High. People today want to be gods; they crave the power and do not want to answer to anyone other than them selves. This is the same problem that allowed darkness to enter Lucifer and this arrogant outlook in life will attract darkness and sin into your life. The key to overcome sin and darkness is humility and to submit under YHVH, making Him "God" in your life. If you allow darkness, sin and fleshliness in your life will automatically allow the "Evil Man" in your life, making him "KING"! YHVH wants us to become "like Him" by submitting to Him (the King) and His Will first, and then allow Him to change our nature. Satan on the other hand wants you to be like him following your sinful nature and then you will automatically bow to him and make him king of your life. Satanism is not about slaughtering cats and sacrificing humans; it is to do your own will, to follow your flesh and allow sin to reign in your body. The Satanic Bible has commandments and their Greatest Commandment is "Do thy own will..." If you allow sin and your flesh to dictate your actions, then you are a Satanist without even knowing it and you bow down to the "Evil Man", serving him as your king. You might think you follow your own will and do what you want, but you are actually submitting to Satan's will, doing what he wants.

How do you know that you have darkness in your life entering the danger zone? Prov 2:14-15 gives us a few pointers that highlight the main attributes of the Evil Man:

·         The Flesh: He rejoices in doing evil things, it is pleasant to him and he enjoys every moment of it. Sin is enjoyable to the flesh and most of us enjoy doing sin. Fleshliness is one of the greatest temptations to overcome and is the reason why most people sin. It can be through eating, drinking, sex or any other pleasurable thing that can overcome you and bind you in its nets of pleasure. People do not get addicted to food, sex and drugs, they get addicted to the feeling, the pleasure it provides. To eat or drink is not wrong, but if you loose balance and covet, becoming a glutton and drunkard, that is what is wrong. Everything that is pleasurable to the body needs to be controlled ad YHVH gave us clear guidelines regarding this and how to keep the balance. Balance and self control is the key to keep you from fleshly bondage and discipline will keep you from stumbling in this area. 1Cor 6:10, Gal 5:21
·         The Love of Money: He delights in the perversities and fraud of the wicked, to gain from someone else's loss. It is so easy to think of yourself higher than someone else when it comes to money and possessions; to want to have more or to have better, trying to "out-own" everybody else. This drive desire is based on greed and covetousness which is fed by the love of money. You cannot serve two Masters, YHVH and Money/possessions. Mat 6:24, Rom 1:30-32 , 1Tim 6:10, 2Tim 3:2
·         The Tongue: His ways are crooked and he departs from his path. This is an example of someone who says one thing and does the opposite, who tells you something, but it is far from the truth. The tongue is one of the most difficult areas to control and cause many to sin in many ways; lying, cursing, speaking against another person, slander, falsehood and lies. The tongue is one of the members that is impossible to tame and very difficult to control. Most people (believers) sin in this area and commits sin against one another and against YHVH on a daily basis. Beware of the tongue, how you use it because you will give an account of every word that proceeds form your mouth.  Jas 3:5-8, Mat 12:36, Mat 5:22.

These are the Three Deadly Sins, deadly, because they can cause you to backslide and loose your salvation. All three areas we just looked at are areas we fail in regularly and we do not treat them as important as we should.  Your flesh, love for money and your tongue can cause you to backslide and not inherit the Kingdom of YHVH.

1Co 6:10  nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of YHVH.

Mat 6:24  No one can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve YHVH and mammon.

Rom 1:30-32  backbiters, haters of YHVH, insolent, proud, braggarts, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  (31)  undiscerning, perfidious, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;  (32)  who, knowing the righteous order of YHVH, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but have pleasure in those practicing them.

Mat 12:36-37  But I say to you that every idle word, whatever men may speak, they shall give account of it in the day of judgment.  (37)  For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.

Mat 5:22  But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be liable to the judgment. And whoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be liable to the sanhedrin; but whoever shall say, Fool! shall be liable to be thrown into the fire of hell.

People claim that YHVH's Grace will save them regardless but if your heart is far away from Him and you allow these things to become a lifestyle, then you are in big trouble and should repent before it is too late. Remember that YHVH looks at the heart of every person and He knows your motive; if you sin and try not to, or if you sin and just carrying on without any remorse. You cannot always hide behind the "Tree of Grace" and expect salvation.

Isa 66:17  Those who sanctify themselves, and purify themselves to go into the gardens, behind one tree in the middle, eating swine's flesh, and the hateful thing, and the mouse, will be cut off together, says YHVH.
