Calling on the Name of YHVH

Prov 2:10-11  When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasing to your soul;  (11)  judgment shall keep you, understanding shall keep you,

When wisdom enters your heart and knowledge is pleasing to your soul, then judgement and understanding shall keep you, to deliver you form the evil man, from the man who speaks evil things.

Enter is the word "bo" that means; to come, to go, to abide, apply, attain, befall, bring.

It is first used in Scripture in Gen 2:19 where YHVH created all the animals and brought them (bo) unto Adam so that he could name them. We will compare these two thoughts; YHVH bringing the animals into the presence of Adam and YHVH bringing wisdom to your heart. What was Adam suppose to do with the animals? Adam had to name the animals. In the same way will YHVH bring wisdom into 'your presence' (heart) to see what you will do with it. What does "to name" in this context mean? How do I "name" wisdom?

Name is the word "shem" that means; name, honor, authority, character, definate position (to mark).

One is "marked" by ones character and your name is connected to a "definite position"; when  your name is used, a mental picture will pop up in the minds of those who know you, and this picture is based on your character. Adam had to come up with a name or "mark" for each animal that would give other people a clear understanding of the animal. In the same way is your name an identifier that is connected to your character and personality. How people preserve you is based on your character as well as how you conduct yourself (how you appear to them). Wisdom has "character" and dictates your behaviour that identifies you as a follower of the One Who gave you that wisdom. In other words, wisdom is the "mark" (name/identifier) of someone who is a true Believer. Wisdom will influence your behaviour or character, also known as your name. YHVH said that He will give us new names and that implies that He will change our characters so that our behaviour will change and result in a new "mark", "descriptor" or name. You will become a different "animal".

YHVH's Name describes YHVH's Character and identifies Him as the One with ultimate Wisdom. In His Name you will find many things; kindness, goodness, power, judgment, righteousness, mercy, forgiveness, salvation, etc.

Psa 116:13  I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of YHVH.

Rom 10:13  For everyone, "whoever shall call on the name of YHVH will be saved."

We see numerous times in His Word that we can call on His Name Psa_116:13, Rom_10:13, this gives us the broader understanding that we know His Character and based on knowing Him, we can call out His "Character attribute" that is applicable to our situation. I may sound like magic, using "a word" or sound that has specific meaning and power. It is not about chanting that sound or name like they do in Kabbalah, it is about having a relationship with Him, knowing His Person and Character, the One Who's Name you are calling upon.

YHVH is the One Who is the Originator of all wisdom  and whenever you call on His Name, that wisdom will present it self to you (just like the animals did before Adam), and if you acknowledge (recognise) or "identify" (name) it, that wisdom (part of YHVH) will enter into your life and change your character (name). We are all in a process where our "names" (characters) are being changed so that we will have a new name in the end.

Rev 2:17  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give to him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it .

You will normally call upon the Name of YHVH for help; the way YHVH will respond is to give you the wisdom to overcome that obstacle. Wisdom is the solution to most of our problems and the outcome for many difficult situations. When wisdom enters into your heart and you respond by expressing it through your life, you will have the "mark" or "sign" or Name (character) if YHVH on your life that will look like YHVH. Applying more and more of YHVH's wisdom will eventually change your character (name).

You do not build good character if you do nit undergo difficult situations. Trials and temptations are part of your "character building", "name changing" experience that YHVH uses to change you and build you up so that you can become a stronger person that will have his attributes (wisdom). During this process you will learn to know YHVH's Character and be conformed to His character so that you may become like Him.
