Seek wisdom, understanding & knowledge and you will be Holy

Prov 2:1-3 My son, if you will receive my words and hide my commandments with you, (2) so that you attend to wisdom, you shall extend your heart to understanding; (3) yea, if you cry after knowledge and lift up your voice for understanding;

Receive and hide the Commandments within you, cry out after knowledge and invite understanding into your life the same as for seeking treasures. Man's greatest urge is for riches and power. YHVH's wisdom steers away form physical treasures calling us to rather seek knowledge, wisdom and understanding. We have previously looked at wisdom and what it means, that it is a skill based on YHVH's Words and His Truth (Commandments).

Knowledge is the word "binah" that comes from the word "biyne" that means; to separate mentally or distinguish (to mark by piercing them so that it will look different - distinguish them).

This let me think of the ritual for the Bondservant that has his ear pierced nailing it to his Master's doorpost. This distinguish him from the other people and they can literally see that he is different. This word "biyne" is first used in Gen 41:33 where Pharaoh was on the look out for a man who is discreet (distinguish) and stand out as having wisdom so that he can rule the land. He was looking for certain obvious attributes that are visible that separate someone worthy of leadership. This is similar to the concept of being set-apart (holy or "kadosh") or to be different, someone who looks different to the majority of the people. This is the real meaning and foundation of knowledge and these who attain knowledge will stand out and look different to the rest of the world. Looking to knowledge from another angle means that you will be kadosh, holy or set-apart when you receive and apply YHVH's Truth to your life which is the ultimate form of knowledge or the most important knowledge to have.

Understanding is the word "tabun" that means intelligence, discretion, skilfulness and wisdom.

It comes from the same root word "biyane" as knowledge and is linked but with the emphasis on intelligence. As superior created beings, humans have the highest intelligence of all of YHVH's creatures. However, people think intelligence is a capability but it is actually an attitude. You can have the intellectual capability but have a "incapable" attitude and do not believe that you can do anything out of the ordinary. Intelligence is using the build in capability to the maximum and to believe that you can do anything. That is the ultimate form of intelligence.

When YHVH created everything, He created by His intelligence and wisdom and imbedded some of His intelligence into man in order to rule and maintain His creation. Intelligence is a spiritual concepts that originated with YHVH and He can increase your intelligence (skill, wisdom & understanding) by revelation and His anointing. This means that through YHVH's Gifts of His Spirit, can increase someone's intelligence as He pleases in order to accomplish His will through that person. Your intelligence does not exist between your ears; it exists in the Spirit and is unleashed by the gift and power of YHVH's Spirit.
