Prov 2:4-5 if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures, (5) then you shall understand the fear of YHVH and find the knowledge of Elohim.
Isa 45:15 Truly You are a Elohim who hides Yourself, O Elohim of Israel, the Savior.
Hide is the word "sathar" that means; to hide, to cover, to conceal, to be absent, secret.
Why does YHVH hid Himself and why does He only reveal Himself to those who seek Him? Think for yourself for a moment, if YHVH was "visible" and in the public eye all the time then He would have become a daily "object" and no one would think anything of Him. Things that are very valuable are normally hidden and it takes an effort to acquire them; things like diamonds, gold, silver as well as all the precious stones you can think of. Why are they hidden from us and why could we not just walk in the field and pick them up? If that was the case, then they would have lost their value and would become a every day object. Character is build through suffering and precious stones are formed under great pressure and gain their value because of their scarcity and beauty.
YHVH and His Commandments are hidden from the fool and only to be found by those who appreciate precious things and seek after them. Will a fool go through the trouble in searching a treasure or will he rather steal it from someone who has already acquired it? The key lies in the patience and perseverance in finding that that brings value and quality of life and this will only be found by those who seek and search YHVH's Word and meditate on His Commandments. The only way to really understand a person, who left you His Book of Wisdom, is to analyse and search His Word in order to understand the one Who wrote it. You can ask yourself why He wrote this and why He commanded that and why He even mentions something we think is bizarre in His Word. Meditating of these grey, un-logical and bizarre statements and commandments will highlight the hidden attributes and wisdom of our Father.
Some things are easy to understand but other things do not make sense. It is like trying to understand one of Einstein's theories without the background and knowledge you need to comprehend his complex work. How much more can we say YHVH's work and Word is "stupid" and does not make sense if we do not try to understand and dig deeper for the hidden wisdom imbedded therein? It will take perseverance, time and patience to study and to dig for the treasures YHVH put in His Word and revealed through His Commandments, all you have to do is to understand that there is something deeper and have the passion to search and research His Word in order to find it. By doing this you will not only find the hidden treasures of Wisdom in His Word and His Commandments, you will also find Him and fear Him for Who He really is.
