Teach your children to fear YHVH and then they will follow in the instruction of the Torah presented by someone who have walked in the Torah, instructing His Ways.
If you fall back into the world and its attractions, it is because you have lost the Fear of YHVH and turned away from His Instructions. This is making you walk backwards towards your childhood unto the place where you have lost all your understanding and knowledge.
Repent and learn to Fear YHVH again so that you will not backslide into a lack of understanding being overwhelmed by the bondage and pleasures of sin and the world.
Fear YHVH and keep on fearing Him and it will be well with you and He will hear when you cry to Him and answer you when you are in distress.
Knowing Wisdom and Instruction:
Prov 1:2-4 to know wisdom and instruction; to recognize the words of understanding; (3) to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and uprightness; (4) to give sense to the simple, knowledge and judgment to the young man;
To know is the word "yadah" as used in Gen 4:1 where Adam knew his wife.
This is a word describing intimacy as in a sexual relationship that will bear fruit or give an offspring that is a blessing from YHVH. It also means: to respect, to teach. understand, advise, consider, instruct, declare. If you are intimate with YHVH's Word, then you will bear fruit of righteousness as His "seed" is planted into your heart, you will conceive and produce "offspring" (works) that will look like Him.
Wisdom is the word "chockmah" that means wisdom, wit, skilful.
Wisdom is the word "chockmah" that means wisdom, wit, skilful.
In relation to YHVH's Word we need to be skilful in His Word, knowing it and applying it. Wisdom is attained the same way a artisan learn a skill to do his work skilfully which is accomplished through initial learning and a lot of practical experience. Later on the artisan will be able to teach an apprentice the same skills and this is the stage of ultimate wisdom. We should be as skilful with YHVH's Word with practical experience so that we will be skilful enough to teach others. This is the basic concept of Discipleship where a wise experienced skilful follower of Y'shua will be equipped in teaching and equipping others in His Word. We should be "intimate" with wisdom, knowing wisdom, so that we can produce "offspring" through leading people to Y'shua and discipling them in YHVH's Word. This fits in perfectly with the other meanings of "yadah" that is: to teach, to advise, to declare YHVH's Word.
Wisdom is always applied and related to YHVH's Word because ultimate Wisdom is based on the ultimate Truth which is YHVH's Word and the Messiah Y'shua.
Instruction is the word "musar" that means chastisement, reproof, discipline.

We should "yadah" or know Instruction of discipline. It is no good if you try to teach YHVH's wisdom to others if they are not disciplined and reproved. YHVH's Word is set up in this way that brings forth one of two outcomes, blessings or curses. Instruction is linked to the "curses" that are the "sheepdogs" designed to bring YHVH's lost sheep back to Him. If you mess up there will be consequences. These Instructions and the intimacy thereof is to intimately know YHVH's Word and teach the consequences for not abiding in it which is the discipline of YHVH, build into His Word.
You as a Torah teacher, teaching your children and others must not only know and teach these Instructions (consequences & curses) but also apply them where necessary. That is why it is not good to spare the rod of discipline so that the "child" can be directed back to YHVH and His Ways of Wisdom.
These two form a pair, Wisdom & Discipline (Instruction), just like Righteousness and Justice, Blessing and Curse, Salvation and Judgement. It is like two poles of a battery, without one of the poles there will be no "potential" and flow of electricity and in the same way, without Wisdom and Instruction (discipline) there will be no "Word of YHVH".
YHVH has created everything to be like this and we see the same principles in nature and science like "cause and effect", wind, gravity etc.
If you move towards Wisdom, you will be moving away from Discipline but if you move away form Wisdom, you will move towards Discipline. That is one of the Spiritual Laws YHVH created to govern and grow His people to become spiritual mature and to know "yaday" Him intimately.
